Offered for sale is this complete kit, never used or started, from 1990!  This idea is simply cutting a piece of yarn a certain length, measuring the weave material (fold in fourths and pin the center inside of the folds to find the center), pulling up evenly the yarn at that location (needle included) and weaving the yarn in and out of the material squares according to the directions, a little like cross stitch.
