Vintage Chinese Handpainted Calligraphy Scroll Peaches Silk Paper Psalm 63: 1-4

Description

Beautiful handpainted scroll on a long roll of shiny silk paper measuring 42.5” long and 9” wide. The writing is Psalm 63: 1-4 and above that is a pair of handpainted peaches hanging on a branch. The hanger is brown ribbon tied to two metal rings at the top of the scroll. The top and bottom rollers seem to be made of wood. The paper is creased from being rolled and unrolled over the years, and this runs the entire length of the piece. On the paper there is an embroidered design of what looks to be leaves or flowers. On the back there is a piece of paper taped on with the English translation of the words from the front. Really cool and unique piece.
