Description

This auction is for a Hungarian partridge (Hun) or Grey partridge hide that has been prepared specially for fly tying material.
I take great care in preparing my bird hides.  All hides are wild harvested birds: not pen raised. Each hide is fleshed (to remove fat, meat, and tissue), washed, tumbled dry, treated with Borax and air dried.  This hide will last for years, and provide ample feathers for various tying patterns.
Because these are hunted birds, I can only offer what the dog brings to me.  Therefore, some feathers might be missing but I try my best to give you the full hide complete with head, tail, and wings.
Look closely at the photo; the hide you are bidding on, or purchasing, is the one shown in the photo.  Each hide is individual marked.
